About The Cue Maker: Dave Jones

I have always played pool on and off over the years, starting, at the tender age of twelve. I love all forms of competition and have been fortunate to have met some of the best in their respected fields, this has been most true of pool. The infamous, Harry P., a regular at our various local poolrooms, has attracted some great talent, one of which is Cole Dickson. Cole stayed at my house a few times, we talked about the hit of a good cue and in his hay day he always played with a Bill Stroud. Our conversation led me to some innovations in the construction of cues that I would later find out were already being used by other cue makers. Through my lack of exposure to customary cue making methods, I’ve enabled myself to come up with new techniques and machines to give my cues that sold hit and balance that Cole described.  I have been making cues for seven years and my long term goal is to retire from the water district were I currently work and make cues full time.  I'm working hard to build a reputation of customer satisfaction, fine workmanship and playability.
